About Oakhurst Olives:
Oakhurst Olives was established on Lemoendrif Farm in the beautiful Tulbagh Valley in 2005. The name Oakhurst was inspired by the ancient oak trees growing alongside our mountain streams. The first orchards were planted in 2007. All our orchards are Super High-Density plantings. All olive trees were propagated and grown in our nursery on the farm.
Since 2010 Oakhurst Extra Virgin Olive Oil is made of a blend of the oil olives grown on our farm, which include cultivars such as Leccino, Frantoio, Coratina, Koroneiki, and others. The oil olives are picked from April to June. Our oil is extracted through First Cold Pressing, thereby ensuring you of our delicious fresh and peppery Extra Virgin Olive Oil.
Oil Maker & 2018 Harvest:
Lizelle Joubert joined Oakhurst Olives in 2012 and this year she had the opportunity to do her first oil blending.
