Ingredients

  • 2tsp yeast
  • 2tsp sugar

Method

Combine ingredients in 380ml warm water. Stir until it bubbles.

In a separate bowl use:

3 and a 1/2 cups flour

Pour the yeast mixture in and 2 tsp Extra Virgin Olive Oil. Mix through.

Transfer dough to a lightly floured surface + give a quick knead.

Now it’s ready to go into your greased bowl, cover with cling wrap (& cloth) and leave to rise for 1 hour. Make sure your kitchen is warm enough.

Once risen to double its size, place in greased bread dish (we let it rise for another 30 minutes) and into preheated oven at 180 degrees for 30 – 40 mins.

Glaze the top with butter when it’s fresh out the oven and enjoy with Olive Oil Mix Dip, Cheese or Jam.
